In the beginning ...

Well, I've finally joined the long list of those who have blogs - i.e. online web diaries/journals. Here you'll find (over the coming months) descriptions of my adventures as I head off to Sydney and Bible college.

Here's the story of how my blog got its name ... I had many ideas about what to call it - mainly formulated as I was drifting off into sleep at night and, therefore, I can't remember them! But, I decided to look at my dictionary (mainly to see if the words "culinery" and "supererogation" go together) and found some Latin in the back. I was going to call it Deo volente (meaning God willing) but it was taken. So, I decided to go with Deo juvante (with God's help) instead.
